In the early game you want to farm until you at least get your ult and maybe even more. Here are some tips for farming:
Use kaiten to get stacks of House Kamuha and when you hit 5 it is not necessary to use it unless either, you are in a fight or are about to run out of stacks of your heroic perk. Kaku can be very good for going quickly. You can go from the camp at gold mine to the camp near your spawn in about 3 seconds while refreshing your perk. Get up to at least tension bow, sorrowblade and boots while farming and try for a tornado trigger.
You do not want to just wander in to the lane for kills like a lot of Takas do. You need to hide in the bushes with x-retsu ready and when you see someone STRIKE. If there are 2 people that are not much of a threat activate crucible go in and you should be able to get them both. If it is the entire team or somebody you dont think you can beat wait for your teamates.
Tension Bow: It gives you armor pierce and a very good ability. When you go to ambush on lane your basic attack can do up to 500 damage (as it will be a guaranteed crit)
Sorrowblade: WEAPON POWER IS KEY! You need weapon power to do insane damage. You can go up to 250 damage on an auto attack and 700+ on a crit
Boots: Isn't it obvious?
Crucible: All Taka's need defense even if it is a little. The 600 health can keep you alive for longer than you think as well as reflex block to stop an ult from killing you.
Tornado Trigger: Many people question this item on Taka as it is just giving more crit chance and damage. But they miss one thing. The INSANE boost of attack speed you can auto attack so quickly and if you choose to get a second one it takes about .4 seconds to auto attack.
Clockwork: Energy Recharge? Check Quicker X-Retsu? Check More Energy? CHECK This is an amazing item on Taka as it gives you energy recharge and quicker cooldowns as well as giving you more abilities to use with more energy
Alternating Current: Very solid as it increases your attack speed as well as making your attacks very strong every other attack so every second you will be doing a double damage attack!
Tyrant's Monocle: Oh tyrant's monocle everybody uses you on taka but you aren't that good on him. You can choose this over tornado trigger but I wouldn't recommend it. Though this gives 10% more crit chance and damage. The attack speed is key.
