Introduction Top

Hi, I know there are a lot of Glaive builds already available especially one created by SIXX. Anyway, I started with Glaive since the beginning and have been pretty much trying most of the build SIXX created in his post. However, during one game, out of desperation being push to base by 2 crystal and 1 tank, I purchased Breaking Point with a shield and it completely turned the tie. I tried it out a few more time with a lot of different teams, most have a heavy tanks Ardan, Catherine or Adagio with crystal or weapon or mix of both and the build works wonder.

People argue a lot about Breaking Point before however, with this build, getting Breaking Point is a must.
Since Vainglory Fire didn't list the stats of Breaking Point accurately, let me listed it here

Gain 9 Weapon power (15 if you are melee) and 5% critical chance & critical damage per second whenever you are attacking enemy heroes. If not, you lose a stack each second. 20 stacks max

Early Game Top

Get Swift Shooter with 2 Halcyon Potion. First ability should be Twisted Stroke
Farm while be careful. Get iron contract to earn faster but sell it later. You must get this item to ensure there will be enough gold for later use. Since it won't be there in final build, I didn't put it as core.
Get another Swift Shooter, then Book of Eulogies to gain a little more damage and recover your health after killing each creeps.
Get Afterburn as second ability to help knock back enemies or getting away from dangerous situation.
Before going to midgame, before the 8 minutes, you should have a build like this
Blazing Salvo,
Swift Shooter,
Iron Contract,
Book of Eulogies,
Sprint Boots

Midgame Top

Finish Breaking Point, then try to get Kinetic Shield, then Barbed Needle and ready for team gank. Upgrade to Sprint Boots to Travel Boots

Try to keep your gold mine or steal from the other team as much as you can. Try to knock enemy team to fatal position as much as you can, when they are fleeing, try to use Twisted Stroke and then Bloodsong to finish them off If play well, your Glaive can even outplay Koshka or Taka

Your build before the 21st Minute eshould be like this
Breaking Point
Travel Boots
Aegis
Barbed Needle
Heavy Steel
Blazing Salvo

PS: Don't forget to sell your iron contract as you can farm pretty fast now.

Late Game Top

Finish Serpent Mask. This is when you will get to strike fear into the enemies' heart, including their tank.

You should finish all your core item by the 20th minute (if you have not lost yet).
Breaking Point
Travel Boots
Aegis
Serpent Mask

Get Blazing Salvo and complete Tornado Trigger to increase your damage per second.
Tips, You can jump into the middle of their team, knock their tank closer to your teammate, attack the one with the least defensive capability. Activate your Aegis's shield to buy some more time or when you see the stun coming. Try to last as long as you can.

Tips Top

Tips:
In Team Gank
The first few slashes will not do much damage but after that, you can start seeing more red. When your health running low, activate your Twisted Stroke, follow by Bloodsong and mwahahaha, RED everywhere. If they flee, use your boots and get close to them as fast as possible but don't be too reckless only be reckless in team gank where not turret spotted, without your Breaking Point's Stacks, you should just leave them alone.

Since your Serpent Mask's 20% weapon life steal is making use of your Breaking Point damage, you are healing as a much faster rate, imagine you can last 10 seconds your stats will be Weapon: +150, critical chance +75% (25% from level 5 Twisted Stroke) meaning 3 out of 4 strike is critical, Critical Damage +50%, meaning you are dealing 200% normal damage per critical attack. Basically, you are having 1 Tyrant's Monocle, 1 Sorrow Blade after 10 second. With an item of your choice, I normally choose Tornado Trigger to make use of the Damage per second, you can literally strike fear into the enemy team. This build is the perfect counter if their team go all blue. Get Metal Jacket if they build all weapon or Atlas Pauldron if there is a mix.

With this build, I did 1v2 with Tanky Ardan and Weapon Vox or Crystal Celeste or Weapon SAW and got away with one kill most of the time.

One weakness of this build the stun. especially Catherine, Koshka, Celeste or Krul. It can reduce your Breaking Point stacks especially Koshka's ultimate. After being stun, get your shield up immediately then use Bloodsong (you should probably have full Bloodsong's Stack from enemy's attack)

Late Game, if you know the next gank will decide the outcome of the match, sell your Travel Boots, get Weapon Infusion and Crystal Infusion and consume, then get a Sprint Boots or Travel Boots if you have enough and engage. Now, in a right position with a right timing, your Bloodsong can take more than half of the other team health and you can watch them run away in fear!!

Alright, I hope you find my build useful. Comments are more than welcome.

Enjoy Vainglory!
