Threat Hero Notes
1
  No Threat
2
  No Threat
3
Petal Pulse munions, beware of ult.
3
Skaarf Try to dodge A, you can win trades if you dodge all his abilities.
4
  No Threat
5
Taka Even after his nerf, Taka is still very strong, especially his CP build. Always pulse to see if he is sneaking up on you. Try to avoid over extending unless your teamates are with you or if you have a scout trap placed in both bushes.
5
Ardan Can help his teamates get away or engage, but 1v1 him and hes a gonner (unless he builds CP or WP)
6
Celeste Very hard to trade with. Early game wait until she burns energy, then attempt to trade. When running away, try to have your Zoom to dodge her ult.
6
SAW Don't attempt to trade, rather wait for jungler and support. Harrass with pulse and Sonic Zoom. When attempting to trade, try to when spin up stacks are gone.
6
Rona Dont get caught overextending. A smart rona can either finish you off with some help or leaving you low enough to be at the enemy's mercy
6
Adagio Can help his teammate fight you or will kite you will his unusally long range and Agent of Wrath.
7
Koshka Very bursty. Pulse the bushes periodically before attacking enemy turret and reflex block her ult.
8
Ringo Very tricky. Beware of his passive, only harrass if your sure you can safely do it. Only trade after his Twirling Silver is on Cooldown.
8
Glaive Very scary early game, only let minions attack turret because of the chance he might knock you in to turret. Only push when he is dead.
8
Fortress His ult is basically a universal flare gun with the ability to attack. If a vox is left alone with a whole team to face, he might be ambushed and will melt super fast.
9
Joule Avoid 1v1ing unless its a stupid Joule with a bad build for whatever time it is (10 mins in with six sins and journey boots LOL). She can Stun or Slow you and is tanky enough to win most trades.
9
Catherine The queen of support. Her stun could be your last moments, her bubble makes her hard to kill, and silencing a vox makes him quite useless. Only attack when she has no teammates and her abilities are on CD.
10
Vox The better Vox wins (WHICH SHOULD BE YOU :D).
10
Krul Avoid 1v1's at all costs. His B will lower your attack speed and increase his life steal. Never chase for more than 4 to 5 seconds, even if he is extremely low as he can easily turn the tides of a battle.

Introduction Top

Hey guys, and welcome to my first ever Guide. Today we'll be looking at Vox, my favourite laner. I started play Vainglory when Vox came out. I played a lot of games as Koshka and a few as Ringo. My friend gave me a $15 iTunes gift card for my birthday as I wanted some new songs and albums for my phone. I had some money leftover and though, "Hey, I should buy Vox!". I bought him and I loves him. The new skin really hypes me up and I swear im gonna get it. Anyways, ON TO THE BUILD!

The Build Top

Spawn
When you first spawn in you wanna get a Weapon Blade and 2 Halcyon Potions. Try not to use pulse to often as it drains energy fast early game. Use the resonance bounces to poke the enemy laner a bit if you can.

First Back
After you've gathered enough gold before your first back (preferabbly around 1200 - 1400) then pick up a Heavy Steel, Spring Boots, and of course your Potions. By now, your damage has increased, winning trades could and/or should be easier, unless your opponent happens ot be really fed.

Core
Your core items should be a Heavy Steel, Six Sins, Blazing Salvo, Barbed Needle, and Boots, Travel Boots preferabbly. At this point your fairly balanced. You have lots of damage, good attack speed, and some life steal. Obviously this is good for farming and better for trading with opponents. A trick i like to do is go in lane and clear a whole wave of minions. pretend to go in to the jungle but instead hide in a bush. When the enemy gets close enough, ult and immediately Sonic Zoom towards him. Resonance will be placed on him and the 2 hits will go on towards your enemy. Watch your opponents health just demolish unless its a tank. If you dont have your a ult, a pulse and zoom with some Basic Attacks should do.

Final Build
Finish your items in this order, Sorrowblade, Tornado Trigger (or Bonesaw if your enemies are building armor), Serpents Mask and finally Journey Boots. If you want some defense, then save the Journey Boots until the end but make sure you have Travel Boots at least. Build Clockwork whenever you have some free time. The Extra Energy and CD Reduction will compliment your ult as it takes up lots of energy and has a fairly short cooldown when you overdrive your Ult. If you dont care about the extra energy and CD Reduction and/or your enemies are building armor, then you can build a Tension Bow. Of course after all that you can build your defensive item of your choice.

Some Tricks I Use Top

-A really cool trick I do is to wait for my enemy laner's abilities to go on cooldown before i harrass. Enemies like Ringo and Skaarf are vulnerable to this technique.

-I dont rush Tension Bow anymore. The reason is because i rely on the burst damage. Im verg vulnerable while the burst is on CD and in that time frame, its very easy to trade with me as I can't do the damage I can do. This is why i now take Sorrowblade, as I dont have to rely on a big burst that has a CD.

-I hide in a bush and ambush my enemy. Very common, lol.

-I do this as it is second nature to me, but I always pulse near the enemy bush to see if there is a gank. Some people would use pulse to harrass, but I'd rather be safe than get killed :P

-I never play aggressive unless the enemy laner is really REALLY STUPID. Just farm, harrass a bit and get your "First Back" Items. This is when I can be very aggressive.

-If I'm playing against an opponent who I know will harrass you, get a Book of Eulogies. Helps me stay alive without consuming your first 2 potions.

-If I'm low on energy, I pop a Halcyon Potion. I found out recently that the Potion regenerates energy as well!

Pros and Cons Top

Pros
-Good for laning against opponent.
-Better kiting potential
-Singling out opponent is great
-Better than CP Vox in a 1v1.

Cons
-Ult isn't as effective in teamfights compared to CP Vox's.
-Pulse is mainly used for marking enemy with resonance to hit with Sonic Zoom
-Early Game energy management is hard
-Not very good in crowd management

Last Thoughts Top

I always build WP Vox, even if people dont agree. Now that's not to say that WP Vox is superior than CP Vox. Both have their fair share of strenghts and weaknesses. But the reason I go WP is because the Ult paired with sonic soom does immense damage. Usually in teamfights we single out one opponent then move on to the next. This is where WP comes in to play, its great for singling out. after the first threat is gone, the team may or may not have a harder time winning the team fight.

Anyways,

Thank you so much for viewing my first guide. Some feedback would be greatly appreciated. If you have any problems with this guide please feel free to leave a question. Don't agree with my decsion to still go WP? Tell me in the comments. Something not right in this guide, whether it be a typo or something major, please tell me. If this guide gets good feedback, I will experiment with different heroes and create new guides.
