Ardan The only thing you will have to worry about is Ardan's ultimate. If you get trapped in his ultimate then i would use gift of fire on yourself and burn everything first. Then use your ultimate skill if you havent died yet.
5
Fortress Fortress is really tanky and you don't really want to stay and fight against him. So just hit and run with gift of fire and auto attacks.
5
Joule Joule's stun can stop your ultimate skill so you need to get an item with the Reflex Block ability.
6
Glaive Watch out for his knock skill or you'll be in trouble.
6
Koshka Remember that her ultimate skill will stun you and your ultimate skill will get canceled. So you need to get an item with the Reflex Block ability.
7
Krul Slow Krul down if he is chasing you with your Gift of Fire skill.
7
Petal Stay distanced and scare Petal away with your gift of Fire skill.
7
Taka Beware of Taka's burst damage.
7
Rona Don't go head to head with her alone. And stay distanced from her in case she uses her ultimate skill.
7
Vox Poke Vox with Gift of Fire and don't directly fight with him alone.
8
Celeste Stay distanced from here comets (Or else you will receive a lot of damage) and try to keep her away with your Gift of Fire skill.
8
Skaarf Try to dodge as many fireballs and don't walk into his firey pool, which is really deadly and can drain your health quickly.
8
Ringo Be careful with his deadly damage and quick attack speed.
8
Catherine Watch out for her stuns or you will get destroyed.
9
SAW All you need to worry about for Saw is that he can slow you down and do a lot of damage if your caught.

So What's Better?
Well, it all depends since every game is different then you just have to adjust to it. So the first thing I would consider are my teammate's build I need to keep in mind what they are building because if we all get weapon builds then we might have trouble defeating the other team if they build armor defense.

Deciding Factors

[MUST READ] If your alone on the lane or in the jungle and your teammates build both weapon go crystal. If both crystal go weapon. If you're not alone and your teammates build one crystal and one weapon then you build opposite the teammate your with. For example, if your jungling with a teammate and he builds weapon then build crystal. Its as simple as that.

Things to Remember For Support Adagio Top

A support Adagio is for supporting the jungler on the team and he needs to be alert and stay close to the jungler at all times. If your caught off guard your teammates are pretty much done for.

Using The Right Items/Skills At The Right Time.

For support Adagio you'll have 4 active items and 3 skills. That's already a lot to handle and not to mention you'll have to pay attention to your health and your teammates' health. Lets just say support Adagiomay not be the right position for the newer players.

So the active items you'll have are Warhorn, Journey Boots, Fountain of Renewal, Crucible. And yes all these items are necessary. Warhorn is great for engaging and disengaging team fights. Journey Boots will just ensure your survival. Fountain of Renewal will help your teammates sustain during a team fight. Crucible will protect your team from ultimate skills that may turn the tide of the game or this is a great item to use as you use Verse of Judgement. In fact, every time you use Verse of Judgement you need to use the Crucible.

Why There Wasn't A Support Guide In The First Place

As you may have noticed when I first released this guide there wasn't a support build for Adagio. However, now there is and why the addition? Well, when I started playing Adagio I never had any success with this hero as a support. But now as I'm testing many builds I starting to like the idea of a support Adagio.

Whats Up With The Item Build? Top

(Newer Players) So as you can see in the build above...what exactly am I doing? Well, I'm not crazy trust me...you can choose to build Weapon or Crystal depending on your teammates. For example, if they are building Weapon then of course build Crystal and same for vice versa. So it really depends on what the other enemy team is building and your just countering that.

(Newer Players) But what if one teammate was building Weapon and the other is building crystal? Well, thats easy just remember if you are in the with some other teammate whether its in the lane or jungle then build the opposite of him. And thats it, but why would you do that well, the reason is because when you encounter enemy heroes you'll most likely be with your teammate who is lanning or jungling with you and you always want to have two different damages Weapon&Crystal so that the enemy will have to build both Armor&Shield to make themselves invulnerable to you.

(Newer Players)

How to Choose Your Final Items The Smart Way?

For the final items you can choose from 4 items ( Frostburn, Broken Myth, Eve of Harvest, Tension Bow, Tyrant's Monocle) and depending which build you are building say Crystal or Weapon then you would go with the same theme. If you were choosing the Weapon build then you could get either the Tyrant's Monocle or the Tension Bow and this depends on which one is more needed at the time. If the enemy team is building Armor defense then the common sense thing to do is to get the Tension Bow. However, if they aren't then go ahead and get the Tyrant's Monocle. This same rule applies to the Crystal build path. The Broken Myth item is like the Tension Bow's case and Eve of Harvest is like the Tornado Trigger's case.

Why Is There No Tanky Adagio Build?

The reason why I didn't put up a tanky Adagio for one is because I honestly don't think he is that effective. And I have always lost games when I try to be tanky and don't really find any success with Adagio in a tanky role. If you do however find a successful tanky Adagio build then please share it with me.

Being Smart & How To Use Your Skills Efficiently (All/Newer Players) Top

(Newer Players) For team fights you do not want to go at the front lines directly. Instead you need to help buff your teammates behind them. If you are being targeted then run and keep using Gift of Fire on yourself to slow the enemy down while damaging them.

(Newer Players) When using Gift of Fire you always want to target a target that has a lot of enemies clustered in group to get the most out of it, damage wise and mana regen wise. If you are chasing down an enemy then you should try to catch up as fast as possible to the enemy of use shorter routes if your teammates are also chasing them and use Gift of Fire on yourself just to slow them down and finish them off.

(All Players) If you use Agent of Wrath I wouldn't use it on your teammates because the ability works is stronger if you use it on yourself. However, if you see that your teammate is closer and engaging an enemy hero and your pretty far away then you should just buff your teammate instead since you won't be able to reach the enemy hero.

(All Players) Many players don't know this, but when using your ultimate skill, Verse of Judgement, be sure to always use Gift of Fire first because if the enemies are burning then once you use Verse of Judgement it will stun them and you have a better chance of finishing them off. If you have at least the item Reflex Block or items like the Crucible or Aegis then use it as you use Verse of Judgement so that you won't get stunned when your in the process of casting the skill.

When To Heal Yourself (Newer Players) Top

Sometimes you have a lot of mana and your health is low thats when you should really heal yourself. But if your mana is low and your health is low and you still want to stay in the lane then you should target an ally minions and gain some mana first. The once you have enough mana then you can heal yourself. But keep in mind that its always better to be safe than sorry so once in awhile if you are not so skilled with Adagio yet then you should go back home to heal.

Situations & What To Do (Newer Players) Top

Some things to keep in check when lanning with Adagio. Remember that there could always be a hidden hero in the bush so you'll need to be careful and don't go too close to the enemy's first tower. I would say to keep a lot of distance between you and the enemy hero that's lanning. And you want to push them back with your first skill, Gift of Fire, it can scare them away really easily. While your enemy is scared deal as much damage as you can to the enemy minions and when the enemy hero comes back then target him instead, but remember to back away immediately when they retreat that's unless they are extremely low on health. In that case you can go right ahead and dive in for the kill.

When you see your teammates in the jungle or lane fighting the opponents then what do you do? Obviously you need to help them, but remember if your team is losing then you don't want to go diving into the enemy heroes and give them an Ace. Instead kind of just go to where the conflict is as quickly as possible and use Gift of Fire instantly when you get there on your teammate with the lowest health. Trust me I don't know how many times this happened, but you'll save your teammate's life and you might even turn the tide of the team fight.

Oh! And every time you go back to the item shop you need to get into the habit of buying 2 potions. But of course when its later in the game and the potions don't really help then stop buying them. I recommend this habit for all heroes.
