Threat Hero Notes
1
Phinn Too slow and that is his weakness. You can easily kite him.
2
  No Threat
3
Celeste You can pressure her and out farm her because of this however be careful not to over extend because sometimes it is better to ping for back up if you do.
4
Ringo It depends on a few things when facing ringo. He has twirling silver which gives movement speed and atk speed and also Achilles shot which can slow you down. Pressure him to stay back because if he continues to advance and can farm more than you then your in for a tough battle later on.
4
Glaive You dont see a lane glaive quite often as an enemy in lane however watch out for his afterburn. And this is usually to punt you into the enemy turret or into a gank waiting.
5
Skaarf Fan the Flames is what you have to be mindful of because it can do chunks of damage as it adds up.
5
Petal Petal has seen quite a few changes especially to her kit. Though she is easy to deal with, her munions will be able to block your attacks due to positioning
5
Vox It varies based on circumstances. Similar to ringo, you must pressure him so he cannot farm as much
6
Adagio Heal buff and attack power buff makes adagio moderate in lane to face. Try to save your abilities for the right time.
6
Skye Skye's tricky positioning and zoning abilities can sometimes be a nuisance in lane. The set up that can work early and mid is Active camo and Glimmershot to stun her and auto attack while ss. Use O.S.O.K if she tries to flee.
7
  No Threat
8
Blackfeather Blackfeather is an assassin and will try to overpower you when you think you have the upper hand. Timing is crucial as every opportunity to exploit must be used against him.
9
  No Threat
10
SAW He can really be an obstacle in lane. Wait for the right time to attack. Usually when he is performing suppressing fire he is then left immobile and that is the small window of opportunity.

KESTREL THE HALCYON VIPER

Hello fellow VG enthusiasts,

I have had the pleasure of purchasing and playing with kestrel focusing on Weapon power due to the armor piercing properties. I must say that she is really fun to use. I have tried her in lane, jungle and roam (Only once). I have a WP Build, CP Build, and a Hybrid Build. I will list a build that has been successful to myself.

Please note: Kestrel requires high skillful gameplay and accuracy to aim and fire due to the exploitable window of opportunity to kill enemies. This is to ensure you get the maximum effectiveness from the build. I will also create a guild later however i am excited to post what I have found to work so far. Also Keep in mind this is from the Jungle role perspective

Journey Boots, Shiver steel, Sorrow Blade x2, Tornado Trigger, Tyrants Monocle + infuse with every opportunity for team fights because you never know when these will be handy.

I usually rush Sorrow Blade first along with sprint boots and Oakheart. Then Tornado trigger along with tier 2 boots and Dragonheart. For me I need mobility to move a bit to seize opportunities of taking enemy jungle camps or for retreating to a tactical position. Please keep in mind that my play style is aggressive and I look for windows of opportunity attacking the enemy’s strategy.

Lane kestrel is similar for me but start off with Book of eulogies and 2 potions. You can replace one of the sorrow blade for serpents mask if you need sustenance but at the expense of power in basic attacks.

FINAL THOUGHTS Top

I appreciate you taking timeout to view the post and I should have created this from day one because i spent hours on kestrel because of the amazing work SEMC did with this new hero.

I must say that everything is situational from you playstyle and habit, knowledge of VG as it relates to the hero's strength, weaknesses and limitations and especially analyzing and counter building items and strategies.

Even though the focus was lane Kestrel, I wanted to list what I have so far so that it can be of some use to people. I would advise to watch the stream of the reveal and listen carefully with an open mind about Kestrel from Playoff Beard. Then make your final analysis after you have experimented with her...

Feel free to comment so that I can update as needed. Thank you for your time viewing and See you in the Halcyon Fold.
