Introduction Top

Let's get to the fun part. You see, many people neglect Krul as his range forms a major weakness against ranged heroes. The good thing is that you can use this to your advantage, as long as you know how to be sneaky and gank laners.

This quick guide will help you improve on your Krul skills, and will prove handy when used in matches.

Krul, the warrior who never dies Top

If you want to know what Krul's heroic perk and abilities are, scroll up to the abilities chart above and click on the abilities/ perk. Below are a few techniques that will help you maximize this build. From now on, we will be referring to Krul's abilities as A slot, B slot and Ultimate.

1.When ambushing or ganking an enemy hero, stay still in the bushes to activate Krul's heroic perk. His next attack will slow the enemy and give Krul a speed boost. This, if accompanied by a Shiversteel, should cut off the enemy's escape.

2.Krul's A slot should be used to rush at heroes whenever they are escaping. Don't hold back on this ability unless you are going to lose the fight. In case of a 1v1, where the enemy is not fleeing, use this ability whenever possible as well.

3.Use Krul's second ability to finish off fleeing enemies or to gain health. If you are in a a long 1v1 fight, don't use this ability until the end, as you stacks on this ability will gain lifesteal for you.

4.Using Krul's Ultimate is a major skill shot. If you want to increase the stun duration of an enemy that isn't fleeing, the aim the sword to one side of the enemy. The sword should miss and return back to you. You should get to the other side of the enemy before the sword returns, thus stunning the enemy for a longer time. Don't use on fleeing enemies as you will miss.

Different types of starts Top

Start off with a Swift Shooter to attack faster and get more lifesteal in the beginning of the game while attacking jungle camps.

Get two Halcyon Potions for health regen if low.

Get two Flare Guns if you are afraid of invaders or assassins.

Understanding the items of the Weapon Burst build core Top

First of all, the Breaking Point
This item will help gain more attack power per hit, so killing heroes will be easier per attack.

Next, Journey Boots
You need speed to catch a fleeing enemy, right?

Thirdly, Tension Bow
Now if you are attacking ranged enemies that are kiting or fleeing, you won't get lots of attacks on him/her. Instead of doing 200+ damage with a Sorrowblade, but not landing most of the hits, you are better of, buying this non-expensive item that does the same damage every six seconds, which is how long it takes to hit an enemy, catch up to it, and hit another attack. Saves a lot of money and is ideal for burst damaging enemies.

Also, Shiversteel
Slows down a fleeing enemy, nothing to complex. Major item for Krul.

Finally, Clockwork
Enemies that are fleeing can be caught up to by using your first ability. This item helps you use it more often.

Understanding the items of the Hybrid Lifesteal build core Top

First of all, Tornado Trigger
This item will help you in a 1v1 or a long fight as it helps you get stacks of you lifesteal faster.

Second, Journey Boots
Catch up with fleeing enemies, and stay mobile and dangerous!

Next, Aftershock
Do more abilities to damage or catch heroes. Also adds lifesteal so that you can get your health back.

Also, Shiversteel
Catch up to fleeing enemies, as you should be feared during late game.

Lastly, Fountain of Renewal
If you fail to catch an enemy, you can get your health back. Also Helps you win team fight and 1v1 fights as it increases your health regeneration.

Countering Heroes Top

The final item to get after completing your core depends on the enemy team.

Get an Aegis if the enemy is building high weapon power

Get an Atlas Pauldron if the enemy is building high attack speed

Get a Reflex Block if the enemy heroes can stun you very often

Get a Eve of Harvest or Barbed Needle for increased lifesteal

Weapon Infusion and Crystal Infusion are strong late game items for survival and killing heroes. Best used after Kraken has spawned. Try to get these items after completing core and before the final item most of the time, as this build is hard to complete.

Here is an explanation for each hero:

Adagio is ranged and has healing, but in a 1v1, you should have the upper hand. Stun him when he uses his ultimate if possible, and engage first in a team fight unless accompanied by a Catherine.
Ardan is a hero that won’t stand a chance in a 1v1, and is easy prey when alone. Beware of his gauntlet, as it can trap you in a 3v1, which obviously you won’t win.

Catherine has a stun that is dangerous in finishing you off. Stun her when her hands glow purple or when she is rushing towards you, as this means that a stun is coming. Buy a Reflex Block if you can and you should have the upper hand.

Celeste has a long range, but she is extremely squishy. You can easily dodge her stuns. Build Aegis and she is nothing but a fly for you.

Fortress will escape from you if he has allied heroes nearby. If he decides to 1v1 you, you will start losing, but once all your stacks have built up, you should start gaining your health back and winning. Fights like this will take a while to complete, so expect a team fight to start.

Glaive has an ability that can stun you and knock you back, so he will escape from you most of the time if he decides to. Never engage early game as he will destroy you.

Joule can escape over walls and easily lose you, but when running away from you, you will do more damage to her as her heroic perk grants her shield when being attacked from front. You should easily be able to stun her when she channels her ultimate. Getting an Aegis should counter her abilities.

Koshka has a stun ability, so get a Reflex Block. Stun her her and she is instantly dead with no hassle.

Krul is a different hero. To counter, get a tornado trigger and Atlas Pauldron. Rest just depends on timing. A Krul vs Krul fight should never end due to their lifesteal and regeneration, so ping your heroes to ambush and end the fight. When fighting a Krul, don’t activate your B slot ability until the very end(if you even get there) as you depend on the lifesteal of its maximum stacks.

Petal is a ranged hero, and that is what this build counters. Stun her with your ultimate and slow her down with Shiversteel. A well timed gank should end her kill streak.

Phinn can’t run away from you, so the Hybrid Lifesteal should be more effective on him. He also has lots of health and can form a health barrier just like you A slot ability. You should win over him though.

Ringo can slow you down, and will win against you if he surprises you with his ultimate. Stun him and slow him down using Shiversteel. An Atlas Pauldron should be the key factor in beating him.

Rona can be easily countered by an Atlas Pauldron as this wastes her heroic perk. She is also slow so beating her is easy, but stun her during her ultimate.

SAW can also be easily countered by an Atlas Pauldron. Stun him first but slow him only after he speeds up once his spin-up perk ends.

Skaarf can kite you using his heroic perk, so stun him slow him regularly, but if you can’t time your stun right, then get a Reflex Block for his ultimate.

Skye’s forward barrage will cut off your chase, so keep you stun ready for when she activates it. An Aegis is vital when facing her.

Taka will ambush you, and cut off you lifesteal by 50%. An Eve of Harvest should help you in this case, or a Reflex Block, but timing it is close to impossible. Start off with Flares or Scout Traps for him.

Vox can be countered with a Reflex Block or an Atlas Pauldron. He also can escape using his abilities but he is really squishy.

Conclusion Top

So that was pretty much all you needed to know. You also should know when to capture mines and stuff, but thats another topic. Comment on how this build was!

BTW I have taken kraken all by myself with these build as Krul is so powerful. Beware of ambushes. If you need health, just attack jungle camps and the lifesteal should give you health.
