Warning Top

This isn't a set guide for how you should build,it's here for you to guide your build, every situation is different so different items should be taken into consideration.

Starting Top

Depending on your team composition and enemies is how you tell your start build, if your team is squishy or both teammates are ranged then tank is an obvious choice so you can take the DPS without worry, the aggro build is usually only good idea if your not in solo que and you have a bruise on your team. Usually always you will want to go with utility build tho. You are a captain, your job is to support your team and keep them alive, yes even if that means running behind chained enemies and using B to force them onto you so they escape. Main thing you want to do is try getting your team to the middle of jg and use Flare to make sure it's safe to take the treant in ground zero. If enemies are missing it's a good idea to put a Scout Trap in middle of their tri bush. For tank and aggro build you will just have to face check the area to make sure it's clear, make sure team is ready to rush in.

Core building and gameplay Top

For the builds like I've mentioned in the warning, this is a guide for you, you don't have to build items in exact order, you should know how to counter build. For Utility you are going to be squishy first part of the game so make sure you land your chains and keep a bit of distance pulling them in when they are about to leave the AOE, it's best to use the Fountain of Renewal when both team members get low on health not just one and don't use it just for yourself. Focus on shielding team when they are about to take a big hit ( Adagio ult, Catherine ult, ECT...) Also good to keep them alive when super low in health. For tanking and aggro always try to get your auto att in and stay where the heaviest amount of damage is. Pay attention and be careful of your health but remember hooked enemies taking damage also heal you ( not much with these builds but enough to keep you alive in some situations) always make sure you have Scout Trap or Flare with both builds, vision is a huge key and unlocks huge play potential. Try putting down Scout Trap in places enemies don't usually walk you want to keep vision without spending tons of money on stuff. If it's stepped on don't worry you don't have to rush back in to put another down, alot of mistakes are made doing this, wait untill you know you can do it safely and without being detected ( MAP AWARENESS IS GOLDEN ). As far as building use your brain, if you are getting half health taken from 1 or 2 hits from someone building WP go straight into building armor don't wait untill endgame or if your taking CP go into shields, you have to be alive to keep your team alive remember that.

situational *update Top

adding something I tried out and found very useful for heavy hitting enemies. adding Eve of Harvest and Broken Myth adds a great amount of healing when your teammates attack enemies you have chained. its still not enough to bring you from half health to full without other CP items but adding these two into your build as captain when you find yourself not able to stick into fights for as long as you need to can bring enough healing to keep you in and make a difference in fights for your team, I found this when down to our last lane tower, and not having any towers our self, and me being only tank, I took out the two utility items I had and threw these in gave me the ability to tank like I needed to and turn the game into a well earned win. ill be experimenting further as I play with the Churnwalker and update this as I find more useful tips, if you have any leave a comment and ill add it to help others and quote your username as a thank you for helping not only me but the community.

Other Top

Have fun. Main rule is to have fun don't be toxic and don't let others get to you when they troll. You can mute pings from players and try your best, a good captain can turn a trolling players game completely around for a win.I will update this build with a CP build and WP build after I experiment a bit more for people who want to use him in jg.
Again have fun and enjoy
