Once you reach level twelve, instead of levelling it like it says on the ability list, I recommend getting vanguard level 5. For some reason, every time I try to change it, nothing happened. Thanks and keep reading below for more info.

Ardan is a character that currently I am playing every single time I play because in my view he can be one of the best damage dealing tanks in the game (also a bit because he's new). He's is amazing due to fact that one: many people don't expect to face ardan as weapon powered (well mostly) and two, he can hit some amazing damage especially in long team fights. Another good point is that he can jungle very fast, this is great for early game, and for getting that little bit more gold for a new item. He also has very high ganking potential so try and use that well.
Pros:
Good damage
Good survivabilty
Great for supporting while dealing damage
Good farming and ganking especially for early game
Has a good escape (vanguard)
Cons:
Ultimate can be hard to cast at good times
Vanguard is not effective on himself
Succeptable to burst crystal damage
