Skye's short range and the fact that she has to lock an enemy before using any of her abilities will more often than not get her in the middle of battles where you can not allow yourself to be squishy. On the other hand, her superior mobility and fast cooldowns in abilities that can wreck havoc in the enemy teams, make her an indispensable player at the heart of the fights.
Skye can be a great carry if she carefully waits in the back for a good chance to strike. But with a couple of HP items, she can be right in the spotlight of the fights where she will see a lot more action, so let's do something gutsy!
First of all, let's make something very clear: you support but you are not a tank! Skye is squishy and has no armor or sustain perks like most tanks should. All this items like
Crucible and
Shiversteel will only allow you to jump into the battlefield to lock down an enemy hero,
Suri Strike to the back of their lines and then cut the enemy team in two with
Death From Above, and then get out of there like a bat out of hell!
You don't get hit, you block all stuns, and you don't 'take one for the team'. Your support role is making the enemies dizzy while your carries take them down one by one.
I rarely get a decent WP from the
Breaking Point, it works more as an incentive for your enemies to target you while your teammates destroy them; if they let you build stacks, it will be you who mauls them.
This support Skye dances a quick paced waltz of destruction, going in and out of battles like a lightning and that's extremely exiting!
