Threat Hero Notes
1
  No Threat
2
Petal Ultimate still powerful, and becoming more of a mage hero. An aegis is helpful to decrease her power, but not necessary.
2
Rona Just... don't get caught in her ultimate when WP and avoid foesplitter if possible when CP. Kite her!!!
3
Catherine Reflex block is good to use for her stun, or her silence. .
3
Kestrel NOt much of a threat, basic attacks are deadly if played correctly. Build armor!
4
Ozo CP - watch out for the landing of his third jump and third part of 3-ring-circus. Build shield!!!!!! WP - He can stick to you well if buys a shiversteel. Build armor, not likely he will get a bonesaw.
5
Adagio Annoying when paired with a SAW, but fine when not. Still a very strong CP carry, but not too much of a threat when you keep your distance.
5
Phinn There are a few CP Phinn's out there, and it is really powerful. Build shield! When going support, he is very tanky, and should be targeted last in fights no matter what.
5
SAW Powerful when paired with Adagio, heavy CP is deadly with shank and ultimate.
5
Skye CP: Build shield, stay behind tank or away from the forward barrage. WP: Build armor, build more damage than the other skye faster, and you have a greter chance of winning.
6
Ardan His gauntlet can re-position you well, however, it can be good to be in his gauntlet in some teamfights. Just play it smart.
6
Celeste Good at poking from a distance. If you can get to her in the backline using suri strike, she will not live for very long.
6
Joule Be careful for the jump, and keep your distance so she can't land the thunderstrike on top of you.
6
Krul Use your mobility to your advantage. Kite him as much as possible. You cannot let him get many stacks on you. Two tyrants monocles wouldn't be a bad idea to burst him down faster with forward barrage (kiting).
7
Blackfeather He is just as mobile as you with his rose offensive. He will be able to dodge some of your attacks with his ultimate, and keep a barrier with his poke.
7
Reim Sclaes very well late game, reflex block for the ultimate is necessary. Aegis is good to use, even if he gets a broken myth.
7
Vox Not a threat early, but can deal heavy damage late game. WP: Do not be the closest person that has resonance on them when he is going to use his sonic zoom. It is very strong after 18 minutes. CP: Do not clump up with your team, or else his ultimate will wreck you and your team.
8
Fortress Well, forward barrage doesn't beat the pesky wolves. You must basic attack them, and then focus the lane carry.
8
Glaive Afterburn is annoying and can re-position you well. With a tension bow, you can go down to half health with his ability combo. Good to target second if going tension bow build.
8
Skaarf If skaarf keeps enough distance, his/her poke can do serious damage. Shield is necessary, even if this dragon gets broken myth.
9
Koshka Arguably the strongest hero this update. Reflex block for stuns and crucible for defense. You can build shield, but it is likely she will be buying a broken myth.
9
Ringo Again, another great hero, who synergizes well with the other great hero, Koshka. This pair is deadly, you have to extend the game late when you get your best power and they fall off. Build defense!!!!!
10
Taka Comes out of no where, and can burst you down fast. As the laner, you are his priority! Reflex block, and counter defense (armor or shield) is pretty necessary.

About Skye and Her Abilities Top

Skye is a very interesting hero. She has good burst and really good sustain, especially in the weapon tree
With the forward barrage, also being able to move freely while using it, makes Skye the ultimate damage dealer with the extra crit going along with it (which is why tyrants is useful).
When going WP, your forward barrage can still do a lot of damage (the weapon and the crystal ratios are the same!). One additonal thing, try to target an enemy that has target lock applied to her so you can deal greatly increased damage to that enemy.
Suri Strike is more of a utility item when going weapon power. It lets you move around the fight as you wish to get to the back lines of the enemy team. Death from above right after you use suri strike can be a critical fight changer.
Death from above is more like a utility ability, mostly because it does not deal great damage, but, it does stun and slow your enemies. So you get some free time to attack your enemies and gain some breaking point stacks.

What position is skye best at? Top

I love weapon skye in both the lane and the jungle. The jungle, however, can be a lot safer, while also given time to pick up items before teamfights, which you cannot always do in the lane. In the lane, you have many different factors, ganking, pressure from enemy laner, and last hits. Getting the highest amount of cs is the name of the game in the lane.

In the lane, please please please be aware of where the enemy junglers are, and the pings your team sends you. If your jungler gives you the avoid sign on your side of the lane, you better watch out on both sides!

In the jungle, pay attention to your lane. If the enemy laner is over-extending, go up for a gank. Just get the target lock on, use the speed boost, and use forward barrage. Using the suri strike to get to the laner is a good option too.

Pros of WP Skye Top

- basic attack damage is high in the mid game and can carry to the late game
- Foward barrage crits are high and cannot be under-estimated with WP.
- WP ratio is the same as the CP ratio for DPS in the forward barrage.
- High mobility with journey boots, however damage is more important in most cases.
- High sustain damage
- Abilities are still useful.

Cons of WP Skye Top

- Suri strike damage is significantly lower damage than CP. But your basic attacks get more rewarded for it.
- You have to focus on damage more than defense, so you are very squishy and vulnerable.

Please put other pros and cons you have in the discussion section. :).

Why Weapon Power? Top

Skye naturally has high attack speed, all you need is a blazing salvo to have your attacks go off almost immediately after the next. Using this, and the high damage output from items (and the base damage) gives you lots of power to dominate your enemies.

Early Game (0:00 - 9:00) Top

You have just bought your weapon blade and going to the lane... or the jungle, whichever one you are going to go to this game. You goal is to farm up and try to avoid fights until you get your sorrowblade at about 5-6 minutes in. Yes, it is very possible to do if you farm correctly and avoid dying.

Swift shooter is also a viable option choice at your first visit to the jungle shop. (Note: You will have to wait a few extra seconds to get two tier 1 items at your first jungle shop visit. It is definitely worth the wait!) So... get it if you can along with your second weapon blade. From here, you will keep farming and getting lots of cs. I do recommend you to get a tier 1 boots while you are en route to getting the sorrowblade.

Once you have gotten your sorrowblade, your next buy should be the blazing salvo. This item will allow you to attack almost as fast as you want... Almost.

Once you have sorrowblade, tier 1 boots, and your blazing salvo, you are definitely ready to go into a fight. Targeting the most annoying/ most fed carry on the enemy team. You might have to hit the enemy tank in order to get to their tank faster.

Mid Game (9:00 - 18:00) Top

Now you have your sorrowblade, and just about to finish up your tyrants (hopefully). By 10 minutes, it is definitely good to start building some kind of defense. (Note: The crucible in the builds is a "general defense item." You should build the best counter to the enemy team possible.) I do recommend just buying a reflex block for ultimates from Ringo or Celeste, but otherwise, building kinetic shield or coat of plates is a good option.

Before 12 minutes, you should have sorrowblade, and tyrants monocle. Why do I have a tyrants? Well, you have an overdriven forward barrage, so your crit is already high, so adding more just takes your forward barrage and basic attacks to a whole new level. (If you bought a blazing salvo before you finished tyrants, you might get it a little later than said.) Also, your forward barrage is more powerful than your basic attacks until about this time in the game.

Teamfights:
In teamfights, you ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS want to target the lane carry first (unless against krul or a pesky taka). But in other words, just kill the person dealing the most damage. I honestly cannot stress that enough. Save the tank for last!!!

Regular tactics:
Any time you get an ace, always push the turret. It is not a good idea to get Kraken when the enemy has 4+ turrets up. You still can with 3 turrets up, but you will not be able to finish the game, which is what the kraken should do. You do not want to run the risk of only taking one turret with the kraken and the enemy team getting the kraken, that would end up giving the enemy team more gold than you.

If you have all team members alive after you ace the enemy team, your laner should push the lane and get a turret before coming down to help finish getting the kraken. This helps you with gold, turrets, and less turrets to take out with your kraken.

By the kraken spawn (which typically has been marking the late game recently), you should have three or even four max items! Being Sorrowblade, Tyrants Monocle, and Breaking Point, and finishing your defense item (unless you are really far ahead and have a maxed build by now).

Late Game (18:00 - end) Top

Now, you are the most powerful hero in the game, trying to get to the enemy carries to land your basic attacks. Forward Barrage is still a great option for poking at the enemy team .as well as using your ultimate as utility as well to keep enemies in the teamfight. Here are a few tips to winning the teamfights.

If you are really far ahead, your tank should engage in almost any fight possible. And you should also ALWAYS follow your tank past 20 minutes and whenever you want to go into a teamfight.

You should have a full build by 26-27 minutes, unless you have been on infusions since minute 17. haha. No real need to finish your serpents mask, but it is definitely good to have it.

Build Path and About Each Item Top

Sorrowblade:
Gives you 150 weapon damage. Helps you with early game sustain damage and can carry into the mid and late game with other weapon power items.

Tyrants Monocle:
Gives you 50 Weapon damage, +20% critical damage (extra damage from critical strikes), and +40% critical strike chance.
Really good as a second item mixed with sorrowblade because the sorrowblade greatly enhances the critical strikes. Mixes well with the breaking point items because it gives you 250 extra damage (10 per BP stack), and with a crit hit at 25 stacks, you do absolutely insane damage!

Breaking Point:
Gives you +10 Weapon damage for every 150 weapon damage you do. Max 25 stacks. Attack speed enhances how fast you gain stacks because there is really no limit to how fast you can gain stacks. It is based off of damage, not time in the fight (Max 2 stacks per basic attack).

Defense item:
Defense is critical with any hero, but with Skye, she has such good mobility that defense doesn't need to be a huge priority in the early - midgame, unless you just get bursted down. Then it is time for you to get that crucible.
Crucible: Great against stuns and saving yourself before you would be about to die. Also great against initiations.
Fountain of Renewal: Grants shield and health, as well as regens some of you and your teams health when activated.
Atlas Pauldron: Grants heavy armor against basic attacks. Slows enemy's attack speed if they get hit by this item when activated.
Metal Jacket: Grants heavy armor against basic attacks. Great against teams with 2 WP carries.

For building defense, build what YOU think is best, metal jacket and aegis is usually better than crucible! I used crucible in the build as a general defense item.

A Few Reminders Top

1. Use Skye's mobility to your advantage! She can move around the battlefield quickly and can put the enemies out of position.

2. Skye pretty much is useless until she gets her second max item in ANY build. So don't worry if you don't do well until about Kraken spawn, that is usually just about when you get 2-3 kills a teamfight and you come back in the game.

3. Lastly, DO NOT PANIC! Her mobility can put her out of position, or her enemies out of position. Use suri strike wisely.

Final note! Top

Hello all,
I am aware that as of 1.21 this is not the best build for WP Skye. Lots of research is going in to making this guide as best as possible for 1.22. Hang tight!!!
