Adagio Double heals!? Adagio and Lyra are typically used in heal compositions which usually involve heavy damage carries such as SAW or Baron. Both have great CP paths meaning Adagio can deal the damage and Lyra can heal or Lyra can deal the damage and Adagio can heal. Plain great.
1
Blackfeather Pair made in heaven. Lyra helps drastically increase his sustain and mobility as well as giving him even more chances to escape. Be wary of such a strong pairing. Try combining him with CP Ozo, Reim or Krul for an amazing comp.
1
Glaive Just great. Glaive is already enough of a beast as is, give him heals and even more ways to engage and disengage? Lyra is also great since she helps him overcome his biggest counters: Alpha, Taka Fortress. Give those three an Aftershock, have them dive at him and goodnight Glaive. Now do the scenario again but with Lyra cancelling their gap closers and healing him back to full. When Glaive Afterburns (A) try to place a Bright Bulwark (B) down so Glaive can launch them into the snare.
1
Grumpjaw Too good. Giving this tank some heals and an Arcane Passage (ULT) for escape and he's just too good. Also when Grumpjaw eats an enemy for his demonic turret sacrifice try placing an Arcane Passage (ULT) for him to go through. Waking up at the other side of a turret is not too fun.
1
Krul Heals, on top of heals on tops of speed boosts on top of carry lockdowns on top of easy escapes? Yes, this is great.
1
Reim Heals, on top of barriers on top of speed boosts on top of carry lockdowns on top of easy escapes? Yes, this is also great.
2
Idris Really helps Idris stay in the fight and get to slippery carries such as Vox. Only reason he's so high up here is their Arcane Chakram combo which is when Idris throws a Chakram (B) and constantly goes in and out of Lyra's Arcane Passage in order to keep the Chakram in a deadly rotation. It requires a LOT of coordination but if you can pull it off it is godly.
3
Baron Baron is a great pairing with Lyra. He's high health and high damage so if he wasn't hard enough to take down I'm pretty sure Lyra spamming Imperial Sigil (A) would truly make a devastating combo.
3
Lance If this Lance is going WP then GG. Hard enough taking him down as is.
3
Ozo Ozo does great with heals. It can be a bit tricky getting him to keep still but if you can nail your Imperial Sigil (A) placement then you have yourself a game. Try combining him with Blackfeather for utter destruction.
3
Phinn If Lyra is to go CP then the barriers are great, Phinn's stuns can help Lyra dish out damage with Imperial Sigil (A). Also useful since Arcane Passage (ULT) helps the usually sluggish Phinn escape.
3
Rona If Rona's Blood Mist (ULT) wasn't enough of a pain as is Lyra's Imperial Sigil (A) not only makes her twice as durable during the channeling but also gives her a speed boost, allowing her to get up close to enemies. Frightening combo.
3
SAW Serpents Mask is a very useful item for SAW but it falls in appeal compared to a Tyrants Monocle, Lyra can make up for his sad loss of Serpents Mask by giving him heals. SAW usually has a tough time keeping up with fast moving fights, her speed boosts aid him. Lyra is essential to making WP SAW viable.
3
Taka Taka lacks sustain which is a big reason he can't last very long in team fights, going WP with him is a lost cause since he must Kaku (B) in order to regenerate health. Lyra helps keep him in order, a WP Taka with sustain is devastating.
3
Vox It is critical (punssss) that Vox gets his stacks on enemies. This is where Lyra steps in. Keeping him alive in fights is a necessity and if done well can even save him from his counter: Ringo.
4
Fortress CP Fortress is so good this patch. A captain like Lyra can help him heal and dive with her Imperial Sigil (A). She is good with him but Ardan is much better at cornering the enemy with Gauntlet.
4
Ringo The two of them can do some heavy harassment in lane early on. After that all Lyra offers are her heals. Her Bright Bulwark (B) helps snare sneaky assassin's such as Taka. Snaring a blood thirsty Glaive's Afterburn (A) is also pretty fun.
5
Gwen Not the worst, not the best. Don't compliment each other in any special way. Okay I guess.
5
Joule It's decent. Helps her catch up and if she wasn't tanky enough gives her insane health restoration.
5
Petal Can help her chase down enemies but that's as far as their synergy goes.
5
Samuel Lyra makes Samuel almost unkillable. Targeting him is difficult with Bright Bulwark (B) guarding him. Almost perfect. A huge problem plagues this pairing. When Samuel places down his Drifting Dark (B) he must keep up with it making it hard for Lyra to keep him in good health.
5
Skaarf Skaarf usually buy an Eve of Harvest making Lyra's heals a bit unnecessary. Lyra helps in one way and that's in transporting a mid Dragon Breath (ULT) Skaarf to fleeing enemies with the help of Arcane Passage (ULT).
6
Ardan Is helpful if Lyra is going CP but otherwise not very much. If Ardan chooses to go WP or CP then Lyra holds more of a purpose.
6
Celeste Is decent at most levels but can go south very quickly. Offers her heals which is always great for a squishy character like Celeste and a snare barrier to prevent dives. Remember when I said it could go south? If you use Arcane Passage to jump the carry Celeste cannot follow leaving her alone to deal with the enemy jungler. If she does go through she's in the middle of the action. Yes, it can go south very fast.
6
Kestrel Less then decent. Once more they have no combos, Lyra can offer only heals.
7
Koshka Koshka really doesn't need much help keeping up. Try avoiding this pairing.
8
  No Threat
9
Alpha Lyra brings nothing to Alpha. Unlike other captains that can give her barriers during her reboot Lyra cannot. Giving Alpha heals is also pretty counterproductive since Alpha's ULT deals some pretty heavy damage. Overall not a great pairing.
9
Catherine Both give very little to one another. At most a CP Lyra could take somewhat of an advantage with Catherine's stuns? Very bad pairing.
10
Flicker Nope. No useful utility for Lyra and its not like Flicker can go any other path so all in all just nope.
10
Lyra How?!
10
Skye Skye is always on the move so getting her to stand still for a heal (rhyme) is near impossible. Would not recommend it.

Ardan Ardan's Gauntlet (ULT) is escapable in an instant, his Blood For Blood (B) will do a juicy 0.2 damage (unless he's going WP/CP which us highly unlikely), his Vanguard (A) can be a pain when trying to snag a kill but overall as a captain he doesn't offer much against Lyra.
2
Petal Your Bright Bulwark (B) cancels Petals B and ULT, your Imperial Sigil can delete her munions. Petal = Potatoe
2
Phinn Only thing he can do to you is drag you and you can escape that in an instant.
3
Celeste Celeste makes up for her low health by dealing high damage in the back lines. CP Lyra's range + power on her AA and Imperial Sigil (A) easily delete her. When going captain Arcane Passage (ULT) is a great way to lock her down.
3
Koshka Lyra can cancel both Koshka's ULT and B making her a great counter. If she is to reach you then you probably won't have such a fun time but she won't have such a fun time escaping Bright Bulwark (B) either.
4
Adagio A CP Adagio is VERY high powered, the moment you catch fire he'll use his Agent of Wrath (B) and game over. This is with other heroes. For Lyra its different. Adagio should have a tough time getting you in Arcane Fire as it is, if he feels the need to rush at you in order to get the flame bonus then that's another advantage. Since he'll be so close to you it'll be the perfect time to use her Imperial Sigil (A) to both regain health and damage him. Adagio should never be much of a problem.
4
Ozo Lyra needs her allies to group up in order to land an AoE heal which is very beneficial towards an enemy Ozo. Though people meme-ify him remember that Ozo is a very viable character. When going against one Lyra can cancel out some of his abilities so he shouldn't be much of a problem here.
4
SAW Easily kiteable and his Roadie Run (A) can be canceled by your Bright Bulwark (B).
5
Alpha Alpha is a great gap closer and perfect assassin when going CP. Most other heroes don't stand a chance against her Prime Directive (A), Core Charge (B) combo but Lyra has a great counter. Lyra's Bright Bulwark (B) is devastating towards Alpha since it eliminates Alpha's Prime Directive and at times Core Charge. Plus Lyra's Arcane Passage (ULT) can easily escape Termination Protocol. But that doesn't mean she won't take you out if you're not careful.
5
Blackfeather Blackfeather is very tricky with all his health barriers and execution damage but don't let that discourage you. Blackfeather works best when his enemies are missing lots of health, with Lyra you are able to heal your allies saving them from his Feint of Heart (A). Bright Bulwark (B) is also a great counter to his Feint of Heart. If your going CP against a Blackfeather then always buy a Shatterglass, his highest counter is high damage.
5
Flicker When going CP with Lyra he can be quite troublesome. His slows and roots are great for allowing his team to wipe her out. He can give his team invisibility leading to a surprise attack. I've placed him pretty low in the threat meter since Lyra's Bright Bulwark (B) can reveal him not to mention she can escape these jumps pretty easily.
5
Glaive Glaive's Afterburn (A) is countered by Bright Bulwark (B) though make sure you have your eyes on him to not be caught off guard, Glaive staying close is great for the damage/regenerate technique. Overall Lyra is a nice counter to him. Only problem is Glaive's very high damage output. When going Captain, Lyra is great. When going CP Lyra buy a Metal Jacket for some sustain.
5
Kestrel She's not anything special against Lyra. When going CP Kestrel can deal very high damage if you are to walk into her Active Camo (B), WP Kestrel is a bit less worry some. CP Lyra can easily delete her so not much need to worry here. Try out a Slumbering Husk or Metal Jacket if you find her to be a bit too troublesome.
5
Krul The boost of movement speed Imperial Sigil gives you is great for escaping Krul and the health recovery is good for lessening the damage of Spectral Smite (B). Do remember to try to avoid a 1v1 scenario. A Frostburn is helpful here.
5
Skye Quite easy to take down. Try to lock her in a Bright Bulwark (B) when she uses her Suri Strike (B).
6
Fortress Although Fortress has abilities that are great for closing gaps and provides his team a burst if movement speed he is still cancelled by her Bright Bulwark (B). He's in the middle, not too dangerous but can snag a bite or two.
6
Grumpjaw Grumpjaw is pretty powerful. Dealing even more damage then Glaive with an even thicker hide Grumpjaw is quite the bruiser. Remember to place down Bright Bulwark (B) whenever he tries to engage or when he uses Stuffed (ULT) since even if he does make it through your barrier he'll have a tough time getting out. Buy a Metal Jacket against him.
6
Lance Lance is a surprisingly high powered captain. His roots are annoying and if he decides to go WP his damage is insane. If going against a WP buy a Metal Jacket.
7
Joule You can snare her with a Bright Bulwark (B) but remember that her critical damage when going WP is insanely high. A Metal Jacket is useful but a Shatterglass can help delete her. Is Joule is going CP then pick up a Slumbering Husk.
7
Reim This dude is tanky. Very tanky. Try to kite him.
7
Vox Do not let him gain stacks on you. Not only will it kill you but it'll let him kill your team. Buy a Metal Jacket and you should be golden.
8
Rona Pretty high damage. Lyra has no counterable abilities towards her. Try to kite her with a Frostburn.
8
Samuel Pretty devastating when he lands Verdict and Malice (A), even more when in Drifting Dark (B). Taking him out is a bit tricky but remember to place Imperial Sigil (A) in the middle of the path of Drifting Dark. Why? He'll have to move out the way to avoid damage, weakening his attack, or he'll have to avoid it while staying in leading to odd positioning that can easily make him slip where he doesn't want to be or he can simply take the damage, not too fun. Try buying an Eve of Harvest to keep up with his sustain.
8
Taka Not very fun at all. If he can reach you, he can burst you. His WP is more impactful against Lyra since his CP path is easily destroyed if he gets snared. Try building either a Slumbering Husk or Metal Jacket for survivability.
9
Baron CP Baron, no problem, WP, huge pain. WP Baron is best known for how quickly he gains stacks which or course let's him deal very high damage perfect for eliminating squishy carries. Lyra is very suspectable to this. Buy a Metal Jacket as your last buy and hope you can overcome him. (though it's not the same as CP Vox try not to group together as Baron's AA has a small AoE radius which can help him gain stacks)
9
Catherine Catherine's engaging abilities are devastating for a squishy character like Lyra, Merciless Pursuit (A) is an easy stun that allows an entire team to get rid of Lyra is a flash, Blast Tremor (ULT) silences Lyra meaning she cannot heal her team nor deal damage if going CP. Be wary.
9
Gwen Sooooooooooo much burst damage. But alas do not worry! Buy either a Slumbering Husk or Metal Jacket and you should be able to endure it. Maybe.
9
Idris Idris is the king of chase. No matter what you do he will catch up. When he does be prepared to take some high damage. Buy a Metal Jacket to save yourself.
9
Ringo Ringo has the capability of completely destroying you. Make sure you have a good captain when going CP that can give you health barriers. Try a Metal Jacket or if your confident a Shatterglass.
9
Skaarf Can place a Goop (B) in your Imperial Sigil (A) causing some major interruptions. He may not be meta but he packs a punch.
10
Lyra Only one can live :p (try an Eve)

Phinn Vox's CP path shines with Phinn. Phinn keeps everyone nice and compact, AoE stuns and fortified health.
1
Samuel Samuel's Oblivion (ULT) is very, very underwhelming in high ranks. Vox's Wait For It... (ULT) helps Sam much like it helps Koshka. Makes it unavoidable. Their ultimate comp is perfect for stealing Kraken.
2
Catherine Double silence for double the destruction!
3
Adagio Great pair if you can correctly pull of Vox's Wait For It...(ULT). When Adagio commences his Verse of Judgement (ULT) use your own ULT to silence your enemies. The silence is great since they can't activate a Reflex and are forced to take the stun nuke that is Verse of Judgement.
3
Alpha Can perfectly interrupt the enemy team into taking focus into her. Her tanky exterior makes a great shield for Vox.
3
Fortress A great engage character is exactly what Vox needs. The tides really turn to Vox's aid depending on who gets the first hit.
3
Grumpjaw What's better then being eaten with a chance of escape? Being eaten without a chance of escape. Vox's silence is great for Grumpjaw's Stuffed (ULT).
3
Lyra Her heals can save him from the likes to Ringo. She offers great sustain for getting his stacks up.
3
Taka Really helps WP Vox in quickly eliminating burst carries such as Ringo and helps CP Vox by knocking everyone into place. I'll explain that last part later.
4
Ardan Can forcefully lock enemies into the Gauntlet meaning if Vox is to go CP then some great damage can be done. There are better captains for him though.
4
Celeste The two make a very high damage team, just make sure you have an utter tank for a captain.
4
Joule Great front line defense. Bout' it.
4
Koshka Koshka's Yummy Catnip Frenzy (ULT... yes actually name of the move...) is very underwhelming in high skill tiers do to how easy it is to block. Vox's silence shops negate that leading to a quick kill if done right.
4
Lance Great for pushing away enemies from Vox and keeping them lined up for Resonance damage.
4
Ozo The battlefield becomes a beautiful mess when Ozo jumps in. This makes Vox's CP unideal for the situation but his WP excels.
5
Glaive Knocking enemies into squishy Vox? He can keep enemies away from him but then Vox has no way to put in damage. Not a good pairing. He does offer a thick hide and high damage though.
5
Krul Can be very distracting but that's all they have going.
5
Petal Petal = OP
6
Reim Good shield but quick carries like Ringo may juke him and rush you.
6
Skye She causes mayhem but doesn't respond too well to damage. Avoid pairing them.
7
Kestrel Kestrel is too squishy to stay in the front lines meaning Vox is the one to take the most damage. Never good.
7
Rona Vox would go CP in this pairing and that doesn't work too well. The enemy will be cautious on pairing up as to avoid her Blood Mist (ULT) meaning they will really spread out if their smart.
8
Blackfeather Blackfeather can be shot down pretty quickly and doesn't deal the immediate damage worthy of becoming a necessary target. Don't be surprised if the enemy ignores Blackfeather and takes you out instead.
8
Idris Not the best grouping.
9
Flicker Surprise attacks aren't really Vox's thing. No shields nor health boosts? Avoid Flicker as captain in this situation.

1
Phinn Quite counter productive towards his team. Get free stacks on him when going WP and if your going CP then your in for a treat. Phinn relies on crowd control, keeping everyone together. It's a sad thing that Phinn is going to accidentally murder his entire team but alas it happens. [CP Build #2 and WP Build #1 are most effective]
2
Celeste She is troublesome IF you let her kite you. Have your team back you up and rush her. She's fragile and gaining stacks on her should be easy. [WP Build #1 and WP Build #2, Tornado Trigger, is most effective]
2
Petal Petal = Potato. When your going WP rush her and she's done, when your CP take advantage of her munions. [CP Build #2 and WP Build #1 are most effective]
3
Catherine She can stun you. Bout' it. [Any path is fine]
3
Glaive Gaining stacks has never been so much fun! Glaive is pretty slow not to mention his health is above the roof making him a great punching bag. [CP Build #1, Aftershock, and WP Build #1 is most effective]
3
Lance Sonic Zoom (A) has never been more fun! Think Glaive, great punching bag. [CP Build #1, Aftershock, and WP Build #1 are most effective]
3
Reim Sssssssssssssstacks. Kite. Stacks. Kite. [CP Build #1, Aftershock, and WP Build #2, Poisoned Shiv, and WP Build #1 are most effective]
3
Samuel A great counter. Vox can catch up to him and deal down pain, just as long as your going weapon power. [WP. Build #1 and WP Build #2, Poisoned Shiv, are most effective]
4
Adagio Gaining stacks is easy against Adagio. Vox is very slippery and should naturally avoid being hit by Arcane Fire. Adagio either way isn't much to worry about. [WP Build #1 and CP Build #1, Aftershock, are most effective]
4
Blackfeather Blackfeather works by sustaining himself in battle in order to eventually deal high execution damage. Take him out fast. Though it's not on the WP build #1 I recommend cutting out the Metal Jacket for a Tyrants Monocle when facing a WP Blackfeather. [WP Build #1, triple Tyrants, is most effective]
4
Kestrel Try not to blow up and you should be fine, try to rush her and you should be fine, no biggie. [WP Build #1 is most effective]
5
Fortress Having an entire team get a rush of movement to tackle down little ol' you? Not good. Make sure your captain can get you out of that situation fast in order to turn the tides on them. They had to have been pretty crowded if they are all moving at one target. [CP Build #2 is most effective]
5
Grumpjaw Similar to Glaive except he isn't as fun. All three of this dude's abilities are gap closers. He still isn't too much to worry about but be wary of his ultimate. [WP Build #1 is most effective]
5
Joule You should be able to dash away from her Big Red Button (ULT) and each of her Roger abilities just fine. She's very tanky up front, making it hard to gain stacks. [WP Build #2, Bonesaw, is most effective]
5
Krul Kite him. Kite him hard. [WP Build #2, Poisoned Shiv, is most effective]
5
Lyra Try zooming out of her Imperial Sigil (A) to avoid damage. Remember it is quite easy to gain stacks on her. [WP Build #1 and WP Build #2, Poisoned Shiv/Tyrants Monocle, are most effective]
5
Rona Try your best to stay away from her. Use her Blood Mist as a way to gain free stacks. [WP Build #1 and WP Build #2, Poisoned Shiv, is most effective]
5
Skaarf Flaargle Fla' Gengubble is dragon for "Please do not dash out of my Goop nor fireballs!" [WP Build #1 is most effective]
6
  No Threat
7
Alpha She deals immense damage and is very hard to take out. Try to gain stacks while she is using Infinite Reboot to be better prepared for when she rises. Remember that Sonic Zoom (A) can be you used to avoid being caught. [WP Build #2, Bonesaw, is most effective]
7
Baron Gains stacks very quickly, faster then you. Facing him head on is a death wish. Try to go CP and stay as far from him as possible, when he eventually leaps towards you for damage take advantage of the cramped situation and pummel him with resonance damage. (CP Build #1, Aftershock, is most effective,
7
Koshka Gets up, claws you, walks right on out. Not good. Avoid focusing on her for all it's worth and use the stacks you gained after killing their carry to take her out. [WP Build #1 is most effective]
7
Ozo His third bounce is enough to take you down to half health. Be vary wary. [WP Build #2, Poisoned Shiv, is most effective]
8
Ardan Can lock you down which is brutal for Vox, only advantage here is that the enemy will be grouped up as they swarm around you, meaning that if you don't escape you'll die in a blaze of crystal powered glory. [CP Build #2 is most effective]
8
Flicker A surprise attack is one thing Vox really doesn't need. There is no way to counter it yourself so just hope your captain is flexible. [CP Build #1, Eve of Harvest, is most effective]
9
Gwen Too bursty 4 me. Get proper backup and defense to blast her down. [WP Build #2, Poisoned Shiv/Tyrants Monocle, is most effective]
9
Idris Not bursty just very powerful. As long as you can keep yourself away from him you should be fine. Don't get away then game over. [WP Build #2, Poisoned Shiv/Tornado Trigger, is most effective]
9
Ringo Ouch. Ringo can take you out in a flash. Get your team to be the ones to engage and not vice versa.[CP Build #2 and WP Build #2, Tyrants Monocle/Tornado Trigger, is most effective]
9
SAW Weapon SAW may be a joke at this point but he is not against Vox or Ringo. If he goes CP then go WP, if he goes WP then go CP. [CP Build #2 and WP Build #1 are most effective]
9
Skye Vox's Sonic Zoom (A) doesn't have enough range to avoid her abilities meaning if she's going CP your done. WP Skye is a completely different story. [WP Build #2, Tornado Trigger, is most effective]
9
Taka Dying before you can gain stacks is not good. Problem is there's not much you can do. Pray your captain has either roots or is Ardan (juicy Gauntlet). [WP Build #1 is most effective]
10
Vox May the best DJ win.

5
Grumpjaw You can insta-dodge his ultimate and take him out easily with CP but that doesn't excuse the fact that if he's very lucky he can knock you out of your Kaku (B). 99% chance he won't kick you out of your box though. [CP Build #1 and CP Build #2, Aftershock, are most effective]
5
Joule Tough front, try to get backstabs when possible. [CP Build #2, Broken Myth, and WP Build #2, Bonesaw, are most effective]
5
Ozo Try your best to Kaiten (A) over his third Acrobounce (B) to dodge immense damage. [CP Build #2, Aftershock, and WP Build #2, Breaking Point, are most effective]
5
Samuel Burst him. [CP Build #1 and #2, Aftershock, is most effective]
6
Catherine You can dance around her stuns easily. Big interruption form your Kaku (B) is she uses Blast Tremor (ULT) but that's why Aegis exists.
6
Gwen Shes bursty and her Buckshot Bakoonza (A) can reveal you. It's best to try to overwhelm her rather then burst her. [CP Build #2, Broken Myth, and WP Build #2, Breaking Point, are most effective]
6
Kestrel Kestrel's Weapon > Yours Use Kaiten when she seems suspicious in order to dodge a stun. [CP Build #1 and CP Build #2, Broken Myth, and WP Build #1 are most effective ]
6
Lance Getting rooted could be the end of you. Good thing your fast.
7
Fortress Fortress's Attack of the Pack (ULT) can track down Taka even when he's in stealth which is really, really not good.
7
Ringo Ringo beats Taka nowadays so a CP burst is most effective. Then again its never smart to bring a knife to a gun fight. [CP Build #1 and #2, Aftershock, are most effective]
8
Ardan Getting caught in Ardan's Gauntlet (ULT) is really not an ideal situation for Taka. Try using Kaiten (A) over an enemy that's close to the Gauntlets walls in order to jump over it.
8
Baron Prepare to be roasted. Hit and runs will not work on Baron so each CP Build is automatically out of the equation. Try your luck with weapon power. [WP Build #2, Bonesaw/Breaking Point, is most effective]
8
Koshka Taka and Koshka (I'll pay anything for School Days Koshka btw :3:3:3:3:3) are perfect counters for one another. To defeat a Koshka you need great timing, dodging her ultimate with Kaiten (A) is a necessity. Weapon should work best against her. [WP Build #1 and WP Build #2, Breaking Point, are most effective]
8
Phinn His AoE attacks make his teammates tanky and reveals you. Wait for him to finish using an ability before going into Kaku (B).
8
Rona Really good damage on her, her weapon will put sustain you and deal more damage. Be careful when facing her and avoid Blood Mist (ULT). [CP Build #1 is most effective]
9
Adagio No matter how much defense Taka builds he will be burnt down by Adagio. That's why it's best to go CP. Get in then get out, yes I know people say that requires no skill but if you could disappear and reheal with Ringo then you'd do it. [CP Build #2, Broken Myth/Aftershock, is most effective]
9
Flicker Can interrupt your escapes and really cut down your mobility. Chasing down enemies should be easiest with weapon power due to the constant burst of movement speed.
9
Idris Really high damage. He'll take you out if you go weapon power so go crystal. [CP Build #1 is most effective]
10
Petal Petal = OP [WP Build #1 and WP Build #2, Breaking Point, are most effective]
10
Taka May the best bad comedian win.

Welcome Top

I am a Vainglorious player by the name of Downcast.

This guide is specifically for each of the School Days characters (Taka, Vox, Lyra). In this guide I will do my best to explain each hero, their build paths, both basic and advanced tips for them, guide you through each position of lane, jungle and captain. So, if your thinking about crafting/purchasing a School Days skin but either don't know the character too well or just want to better your play with one of them then look no further!

(this is my submission for the Teacher Event)

Lyra, "The Class President" Top

Principle Arcanum - Heroic Perk

Lyra’s attacks are arcane missiles, dealing 55-90 (+40% CP) crystal damage. If she holds her ground after releasing an attack, she automatically channels and releases a much stronger arcane missile that deals 75-175 (+60% CP) additional crystal damage and briefly slows its target by 35% + 1% bonus health ratio. Each channeled missile consumes 15-20 energy, but Lyra can continue using these even if she runs out of energy.

Imperial Sigil - Ability A

Lyra forms a sigil at the target location, revealing surrounding enemies. While this sigil remains active, it heals nearby allied heroes and damages nearby enemy heroes, with its own life diminishing more quickly for each affected target.

Lyra can reactivate this ability at any time to detonate the sigil, dealing heavy damage to surrounding enemies while providing a burst of healing and a moderate move speed boost (2.0) to nearby allies.

The healing per second is increased by 10% of Lyra's bonus health, while the burst heal is increased by 8% of Lyra's bonus health.

Bright Bulwark - Ability B

After a brief delay, Lyra releases a pulse of magical energy, damaging and applying an 20% flat slow to surrounding enemies. The affected area then becomes a walled zone of protection that deals the same damage and slow to enemies attempting to cross its borders.

Enemies inside the zone are snared, allowing them to move normally but preventing them from using movement abilities. Enemies attempting to dash into the area are interrupted upon crossing the walls.

Enemies inside the zone cannot use Lyra’s portals for the entire duration inside.

Arcane Passage - ULT

Lyra blinks to the target location, leaving portals at both the beginning and the end of the blink. Portals last for 8.5 seconds, allowing allied and enemy heroes to move freely between them in both directions.

After traveling through a portal, heroes must wait 4.5 seconds before they can re-enter a portal. This cooldown is also applied to enemies when Lyra hits them with the initial pulse of Bright Bulwark.

Heroes standing directly on top of a portal as it forms must step off the portal before they can use it.

How to Captain with and without Lyra Top

Roam Tips

Try to encourage your team to jump the enemy jungled and captain. Lyra is very strong early game so the victory should be yours and if it does not go in your favor, use the speed boost in Lyra's A to escape if all doesn't go as planned. Try to go to lane very soon to harass the enemy carry. Knowing that the enemy Ringo is most likely spamming "?" at his captain alongside an unhappy cry emoticon is quite satisfactory. Leave your carry with a heal and recall the moment you can afford a Fountain and energy battery. If the enemy doesn't have Phinn then try to use crucible to block an Atlas for your carry. You in the other hand, try to use Arcane Passage to directly teleport to the enemy carry and use your own Atlas.

Lyra Tips

Use flares in the early game to spot bushes but later when you have more energy use your A.
Use B when Alpha begins Prime Directive or when Glaive seems like he's going to use Afterburn.
If your in a bush pay attention to your player name, in a bush its always darkened since eyour hidden, it lights up when you've been noticed. Your tag being bright is a sign Ficker, Kestrel or Taka are in your bush. Use your B to trap them immediately.

Vox, "Leader of the Band" Top

Julia's Song - Heroic Perk

Vox's abilities mark enemies with Resonance. When basic attacking enemies with Resonance, bolts will bounce outwards to two nearby enemies dealing 20/60/80/100/140 (+90% crystal ratio) crystal damage and refreshing and spreading Resonance. (Resonance bounces deal 50% damage to minions.)

Sonic Zoom - Ability A

Vox dashes in the targeted direction, throwing two basic attacks to the nearest enemy marked by Resonance (prioritizing heroes).

Pulse - Ability A

Vox emits a sonic pulse that echoes off nearby enemies and applies Resonance. The pulse applies a slow that is significantly stronger near its center and lasts 1.2 seconds. Each upgrade to Pulse increases the damage of Vox's bouncing attacks to enemy heroes.

Wait For It - ULT

Vox fires an ultrasonic wave that applies Resonance to enemies in its path and refreshes all Resonance. Shortly after, a wide shockwave explodes along the same path, dealing crystal damage and silencing enemies. Striking enemy heroes with the shockwave will also cause Resonance to bounce.

How to Lane with and without Vox Top

Lane Tips

The game has begun, since your going Vox you buy a Swift Shooter and Book of Eulogies and head off. Though you have the urge to begin farming immediately try to coordinate a 3v2 against the enemy jungler and captain. If the enemy laner joins in quickly don't back off but don't push it either, if you back off completely they'll take advantage and push. If the enemy laner doesn't rotate then snag a kill on their jungler, have Taka steal some farm. Take a Treant and head to lane via the enemies side with your captain. Don't expect to kill the enemy carry but try to injure him/her.

Now you're in the lane. Stay in the lower right/left (depending on your spawn side) side of the map, close to your captain. Only last hit when necessary. Farming quickly will force you to slowly move to the enemies side, making you very easy to jump. Farming slowly will force Ringo to move to your side making him easy to jump. Also, your position in lane at the lower left/right side not only keeps you close to your captain but gives you two escape routes. Be vary passive. Let your captain occasionally harass the laner and if you have Lyra take advantage of her range. When the laner tries to attack your captain attack him. Doing this will force the enemy laner into backing off into his side, letting you farm freely. Six minutes in and you should have enough gold to buy your first Tier lll item. Move down to the jungle shop (making sure to take your junglers Treant on the way) and purchase it. After that its more farming and proper responding to your allies needs. By ten minutes in, if you haven't already, push down their first turret.

The Kraken has spawned and things are heating up. Farming later in the game can be hard if your missing the first turret. Use Vox's Pulse a safe distance from a bush to see if anyone's there. Make sure to farm on the upper side of the map to prevent jumps. You should honestly wait fit them to reach your turret but if you're getting tired of waiting at least have your captain by you.

Vox Tips

Use Vox's Pulse to check bushes.
When the enemy laner is close to a minion use Sonic Zoom for Resonance damage.
When you have a character with a status effect ability that is usually easy to counter try to silence the enemy carry so they can land it.
When going CP target the enemy captain.
Resonance applies slow, use it when escaping.
Vox can use Sonic Zoom to go through walls.

Taka, "The Kendo Club Master" Top

House Kamuha - Heroic Perk

Every 5 seconds, Taka's next basic attack is replaced with a Mortal Strike. Mortal Strikes deal 40 (+30% weapon ratio) bonus damage and grant Taka a burst of move speed. Whenever Taka Mortal Strikes or uses an ability, he gains a stack of Ki, which speeds up his Mortal Strike timer by 0.9 secs and grants 20% cooldown speed. (5 Ki stacks max.) Ki stacks last 12 seconds before they are reset.

Kaiten - Ability A

Taka flips over his target, cutting it with his switchblade. Taka is invulnerable to damage & debuffs while in mid-air.

Kaku - Ability B

Taka throws a smoke bomb at his feet, vanishing from enemy sight and gaining move speed. This illusion ends early if he strikes a target or he takes direct damage. Turrets and Flare Guns can still see Taka. This ability heals Taka while he is invisible.

X-Retsu - ULT

Taka bursts through his target, carving an X with his switchblades for lethal damage. The target suffers a mortal wound, reducing its healing by 50% and taking damage per second over the next 3 seconds. The wound's duration is refreshed whenever Taka mortal strikes this target. Grants bonus Ki stacks upon use based on number of ability points in X-Retsu.
[/spoiler]

How to Jungle with and without Taka Top

Jungle Tips

As said before, like twice, try to force a 3v2 scenario. If all goes well and you kill their jungler and captain do not diddle dally with the jungle creeps by the shop. Instead go and take their back using the small spot behind the Crystal Sentry for a recall. Clear your first wave and move up lane for a quick kill. Rinse, repeat. Remember that farming is very important (though your farm clear is slower with CP), try to steal the enemies fronts since you have an easy escape.

Taka Tips

Use Kaiten to block huge damage.
Use Kaku smart. For instance, run forward to give the illusion your going forward then Kaku, move to the left (just in case they have an that can dash toward an send the illusion) then rush to the nearest bush opposite of where you appeared to be going.
Since X-Retsu zooms you on the other side of your target use it to dodge certain abilities (Celeste ultimate, Celeste stun, Catherine stun, Lance root).
Attack enemies for a burst of movement speed.

How to make the "School Days" Team Composition Work! Top

The School Days composition is great since Taka eliminates huge threats to Vox, Lyra offers heals to sustain both of them and Vox is high flexible allowing Taka to move build paths depending on what is needed against the enemy carry.

CP Taka + WP Vox

CP Taka and WP Vox is a great harassment team. Tough in the early game even tougher later it is hard to crack. Vox is nearly untouchable due to the heals he gains and since Taka easily eliminates the enemy laner which originally would've bursted Vox in any other scenario. The strategy is simple. Have Lyra place a Sigil in a bush to light up their player tags so when Taka jumps in the bush they don't notice. Then rush the enemy carry.

WP Taka + CP Vox

This is more complex to pull off. As you know CP Vox is pretty unviable since all you need to do is separate and Vox will do a juicy 0.00003 damage. This comp works in the way CP Taka and WP Vox does but there's more coordination. Have Taka sneak behind the enemy carry and block his exit route, make sure Taka completely blocks the enemy carry and forces him to move away from him. Taka's position should force Ringo to back up into his captain. This is how you make CP Vox viable. Make sure Lyra gives him a heal otherwise Taka could get killed. All goes well Ringo will be taking a beating from Taka and Resonance damage. Enemy jungler and captain will be easily defeated after that.
