Introduction to this hero Top

Like Koshka, this cool swaggy guy hits and runs. His skills are quite unique compared to other heroes and must be treated carefully if in the enemy team. Remember to use his invisblity to your advantage. Place scout traps while invsible and also, scout areas while it lasts, somebody might be in the bush waiting. Takais great at dodging skillshots and can make swift getaways / chasing.

Difference with Weapon Taka & Crystal Taka?
Crystal Taka is more challenging as you have to time your skills and make the plays. Crystal tala focus on that, while Weapon Taka auto attacks to deal the damages. While Crystal Taka have lesser auto attack damage, he is harder too kill since he can spam his abilities like Kaiten. Where as Weapon Taka focuses on staying close to your enemies to auto attack them. Either way, it's all about the mechanistim.

Weapon Taka Pros
  • High lifesteal.
  • Big critical strikes.
  • Large auto attack damage every second.
Weapon Taka Cons
  • Abilties will not do much damage.
  • Countered with Armor.
  • Higher cooldowns.
  • Will run out of mana easily if spam abilities.

Crystal Taka Pros
  • High ability damage.
  • Low cooldowns.
  • Will not run out of mana easily.
  • High burst potential.
Crystal Taka Cons
  • Little lifesteal.
  • If abilities all burned, your toast.
  • Low normal Attack damage.
  • Not much critical damage.
  • Crowd controls on you are more affecting.

Crystal Taka- The Build Top

Starting Items no questions asked.

The slow attack speed at the start really is annoying, right? So get Blazing Salvo for fast clear. It adds Attack speed quite a lot and if you have 5 ki stacks, each Attack will 80% of the time critically strike.

After that, rush an Alternating Current and make sure your level 6 before you start dueling and invading. High risks = high rewards. Make sure to help out the lane often too.

You can just get Blazing Salvo and leave it there if you want. Buy an Aftershock and then finish Alternating Current. The difference is one that gives a boosted attack after an ability is used, one that gives a boosted Attack every 2nd auto attack you do.

Sprint Boots and Reflex Block no questions asked. Always good to have. But get Travel Boots when your falling behind in speed, or when the enemy gets it.

Crystal Taka- Situational Items Top

To play Taka well is to counterbuild well. Keep taking note of what your enemy is building.

Upgrade your Reflex Block into a Crucible or Aegis. But i suggest Crucible if your getting Fountain of Renewal( or if there is a Ringo on the enemy team ). If the enemy builds Crystal, get Aegis.

A Tyrant's Monocle? Why get that, when your going crystal power?! Because it gives 30% critical strike chance, and its always good to have some of that. Also, your passive House Kamuha helps with the critical striking, so it fits quite good. Also gives more damage to your normal attacks, so if its charged up with the Alternating Current and / or Aftershock, it's GG.

Frostburn slows your target, which everyone knows. But why get it on Taka? Taka have great chasing ability, yes. But other than that, he needs energy. And Frostburn provides that! Sweet.

Seriously, if you feel like you have no problem catching up to your target, get a Eve of Harvest instead. It will boost your rate of surviving even more, due to your Aftershock, Passive House Kamuha, and obviously, Eve of Harvest.

You can always just not get any of these item but get Fountain of Renewal. Fountain of Renewal basically boosts your survival rate by alot due to the great health regen increase it gives. So if you find yourself always low on health even after using your passive House Kamuhato heal up, get this item.

Still having trouble on the cooldowns you have? Don't worry, a Clockwork will solve the problem! Yep... That's basically what it does.

If you need pure damage. Or if you just don't like to auto attack much with Tension Bow. After you get this, you should pack a punch.

A Tension Bow would be nice if you want more burst damage. you know how it is with your House Kamuha, Aftershock, Alternating Current... Makes Taka look cooler too with all those glowing effects...

Broken Myth will help when you are low health, but you want to kill people. Though it is not recommended to get due to the great heals you have, it is always fine to get this when the enemy builds shield, or none of the other things are useful ( COUNTERBUILD ) currently.

Get 1 item for each choice.

Frostburn / Eve of Harvest / Fountain of Renewal / Broken Myth

Crucible / Aegis

Tyrant's Monocle / Clockwork / Tension Bow

What I get often: Broken Myth / Fountain of Renewal, Crucible, Tension Bow.

Crystal Taka- Build Steps Top

Early Game ( 0:00 - 10:00 )

2. Buy an immediate Blazing Salvo and Sprint Boots.
OPT. 1: 3. Rush Alternating Current.
OPT. 2: 3. Leave it there, rush an Aftershock.
Either way, get both items first before you buy anything next.

Mid Game ( 10:01 - 20:00 )
4. Start getting 6th item. If you get... 5. Ehhh, Reflex Block.
6. If possible, get Travel Boots before 20:00.

Late Game ( 20:01 - 00:00 )
7. Travel Boots if you haven't get it yet.
8. If getting... 9. Finish your Aegis or Crucible.

Weapon Taka- The Build Top

]
Since weapon Taka focuses on auto attacks, Blazing Salvo would be perfect. And also for faster jungle clear, ya know.

Once upon a time, a person tried to make a cool story for a item called Journey Boots.

This should be your primary damage item. It gives so much weapon power that your single auto attack can one shot Ringo... Only joking. But you get the idea. Always get this first, and rush it if you lack damage.

After Taka's " critical strike Lifesteal " got nerfed from 70% to 30%, you can't surive alone on that little 30%. Other than that, this gives you weapon power. Once you get this you will have 50% Lifesteal if you do a critical strike, and 20% for a normal attack.

The reason I put this down instead of Counterbuilding for Aegis or Crucible is because this sort of boosts your lifesteal. If you get this, you can just lifesteal all day along, instead of lifestealing so little and healing straight up to your tiny health bar...

Weapon Taka- Situational Items Top

This gives you attack speed ( which is awesome in Taka ) and shreds armor. Very helpful if the enemy team builds armor. Keep in mind Bonesaw shreds the armor for your team, while Breaking Point pierce the armor for yourself.

Tornado Trigger is your best friend if the enemy doesn't build armor. Total domination dude. It gives critical strike chance, so getting 5 ki stacks will be easier. It also gives more critical strike damage, and that's awesome with your stacks. Don't forget the bonus attack speed!

Just like Crystal Taka, having a Tension Bow can be good, as it gives armor pierce ( so it's good when you didn't get Bonesaw! They still have their base armor, you know. ) and weapon power. Every 6 seconds you get a bonus auto attack too. Victory!

If you somehow just don't want or don't need a Tension Bow, feel free to get this. Your 2nd best friend, Tyrant's Monocle. Same with Tornado Trigger, it gives critical strike chance and critical strike damage, not to mention the bonus weapon power. Yoooowoooooouuu. Ingore that.

10. Get the almighty Reflex Block.
11. Finish Bonesaw or Tornado Trigger.

Abilites and Tips Top

House Kamuha
Slot: Heroic Perk

Taka gains Mortal Strike every 2s.

Mortal Strike: Taka's next basic attack deals 30-85 (level 1-12) (+40% weapon power) bonus damage and briefly gains bonus movement speed.

When Taka uses an ability or lands a Mortal Strike, he gains a stack of Ki.

Ki: Taka gains Mortal Strike faster and his ability cooldowns are reduced by 5% per stack.
  • 5 stacks max.

Tips:

  • Use this skill to heal up! Obviously...

Kaiten
Slot: A

Taka flips over his target, cutting it with his switchblade. Taka is invulnerable to damage and negative effects while in mid-air.

Tips:

  • When maxed, this ability costs no mana.
  • This skill can leap over walls if used correctly on monsters.
  • This skill can be used to avoid specfic damage and / or juke.
  • Using it on a enemy hero will flip you over him, allowing some basic attacks.
  • Never use this too early or too late. Time it correctly in fights to avoid some heavy damage, and it might turn the tide!

Kaku
Slot: B

Taka throws a smoke bomb at his feet and becomes invisible while gaining increased movement speed.
  • Invisibility ends early if he strikes a target or takes direct damage.
  • Turrets, Scout Traps and Flare Guns can still see Taka while he is invisible.

Tips:

  • This skill gives you movement speed and invisblity for awhile. Use it to catch up to enemies, or escape, or just to scout areas out and place Scout Trap.
  • Also a juking ability.
  • Use it before somebody see you to quickly run up to him burst him down for Crystal Taka.
  • Try not to get seen using this skill, because they can counter the invisblity.
  • Use this to surprise somebody and start a fight, or to chase / run. Never use this for just stacks, you will waste a important tool. ( Unless you really need that stack, don't do it! )
  • Always take note when your enemy buys Scout Trap and Flare Gun.
  • The duration of Kaku is as long as your recalling time.
  • You can use Kaku at the very last second before you get stunned. That way, you won't get revealed but will take the damage. So you can just wait for the stun to go off safely, unless they have Flare Gun or Scout Trap.

X-Retsu
Slot: C

Taka bursts through his target for massive damage and gains Ki Stacks. The target suffers a mortal wound (reduced healing) and takes damage per second for the next 3s. The wound's duration is refreshed whenever Taka Mortal Strikes this target.

Tips:

  • This skills deal massive damage if critically strike and going crystal power, though not as much as Joule's Laser beam.
  • Using Kaku and X-Retsu will make you dash infront and back of the person your using it on, giving you style points.
  • Use this to catch up to fleeing enemy, since this have longer range than Kaiten and also puts you infront of the target.
  • If you have a Scout Trap on the other end revealing a monster, you can go through walls to that target. Handy escaping trick if Kaku is on Cooldown, or if somebody like Joule Rocket Leap to the other side to escape. You can also use this to dodge skill shots that are very deadly, such as Joule's laser beam, Krul's deadly sword throw which can stun for days, and so on.

Combo
  • Use Kaku- X-Retsu- Normal Attack - Kaiten accordingly to murder somebody immediately when they don't see it coming. By immediately it means if you are sure you can kill with it. Because if you can't, there goes your abilities that can juke and avoid damage.
  • You can also do X-Retsu- Kaiten and then run ( or use Kaku ) It's some poke damage done to them.

Note:
If you need more mobility and sustain, take 5 points for Kaku, since the Overdrive ability is to heal 1% max health when he's invisible with that ability. If you think you don't need the extra health regen from five points, take five points in Kaiten.

Setting up the Outplay Top

A well played Taka knows how to outplay people. Due to his high mobility, it will be easy, but takes quick reflexes. Steps?

1. Somebody is chasing you. Go into a bush and wait till he's close.
2. Use Kaiten to juke, going over him and running the other side into another bush.
3. If he follows, wait till he gets close again and use X-Retsu on him, run to the other side again into yet ANOTHER bush.
4. If he still follows to the bush, he's dumb. Depending on your health, choose whether or not to use Kaku ( If low health, save it if you really have to run ) if you don't use it for a stealth attack, use Kaiten or X-Retsu if the Cooldown is down.

Note: Outplaying will be risky and if you aren't confident in it, just run. And do not try it if you are really low on health. Like, 15% or lower.

Teammates Top

He have a slow and a stun. He can also boost your attacks and heal you, a really good teammate to have.

Just like how she works well with any other heroes, she also works well with Taka. She can keep enemies off him with her stun. She can also silence, which is awesome since any stuns going for Taka will not work, enabling Taka to do whatever he wants.

As if his awesome knock back isn't enough, he have all the AOE damage you need.

She have her stun to let you dash to the enemy faster. And if she have Frostburn ( I don't know why she wouldn't ) she can slow the enemy for you, making it way easier to catch up.

He have yet another stun and slows for you, but for the stun he must hit the sword first.

She have her flowers of awesomeness which can boost you significantly if 5 are all stacked.

He have his slow which makes dashing to enemies faster. He also have his long range ultimate, which if it targets a out of sight hero, he will technically get revealed. Which then if he is quite near, you can use Kaku and surprise attack him.

He have his AOE damages, along with the AOE slow. The slow will help a lot, dashing to your enemies even faster than before.

He have his ultimate, which speeds you up, or slow the enemy down. Don't forget that he have his Goop as well. He also have massive AOE damage.

Keep in mind the effectiveness of each teammate is not by what hero they use, but by how they use each hero.

The End...? Top
